Why we built Swipe2Study
Learning a language shouldn’t feel like a chore, yet most tools out there wrap the process in complex interfaces and demanding daily commitments. We experienced this frustration firsthand while trying to master Japanese and Chinese. The cognitive overload of navigating clunky menus and dense grammar lessons often deterred us before we even began. We realized that what we needed wasn’t a comprehensive digital textbook, but a frictionless way to review vocabulary in the short, idle moments of our day—while waiting for a train, waiting in line for coffee, or right before bed.
That’s when the idea for Swipe2Study hit us. Drawing inspiration from the intuitive, universally understood ‘swipe’ gesture, we built a platform in Bangkok designed for global learners. By focusing relentlessly on flashcards and spaced repetition, we stripped away the noise. The result is a learning experience that feels less like studying and more like scrolling—but with real, measurable progress.
“The best language learning tool isn’t the most complex one — it’s the one you actually use.”
